“Cook it up!” Cooking Club
Service Description
Our Kids Cooking Class is a fun, hands-on programme designed to help children build confidence in the kitchen while developing practical skills they can use for life. Each session gives children the opportunity to prepare and cook a variety of dishes while learning about ingredients, nutrition, measuring, following recipes, kitchen equipment and safe food preparation. Alongside cooking, children will develop important life skills including independence, teamwork, organisation, problem-solving and responsibility, with plenty of opportunities to taste and enjoy what they create! For children who would like to take their learning further, there will also be the option to work towards and sit an accredited Level 1 or Level 2 Food Hygiene/Food Safety certificate, providing them with a recognised qualification and an introduction to professional food safety standards. Suitable for home-educated children who love cooking, want to become more independent in the kitchen, or are simply excited to learn something new. 👩🏾🍳🧑🏽🍳🥣
